This unit controls the vehicles premium navigation system. It is capable of guiding you to your destination using maps, text and voice instructions. The unit controls settings for the GPS system, wheel pulses and other settings.

SM067 - SATELLITE NAVIGATION - Diagnostic Capabilities (Read Fault Codes)
Reads the fault code memory. The ECU can self detect a number of different problems with itself, its wiring and its associated sensors, storing the respective code if it detects any malfunction or reading outside of pre defined acceptable limits. Not all stored faults may cause the fault warning lamp to illuminate.

Clears the fault code memory.

SM067 - SATELLITE NAVIGATION - Diagnostic Capabilities (Settings)
Values, configuration settings, and other stored information which can be read from the ECU. Read settings can also be stored as a standard HTML page for reference. These pages can then later be re loaded. Please note that all values are read only due to the fact that they are supplied from the ECU’s ROM or are internally calculated.

  • Part Number: This is the manufacturer's part number for the ECU.
  • Hardware Number: This is the hardware version which denotes the processor and circuit board type.
  • Software Number: This denotes the coding inside the processor for the hardware.
  • Supplier Number: A number which defines the supplier using a standard look up list of supplier ECU manufacturer numbers.
  • Coding Index: This the coding identification for the programming maps.
  • Diagnostic Index: This is a number that indicates the diagnostic capabilities support level.
  • Bus Index: This is a number that indicates the bus communication support level, the vehicle communication buses.
  • Week of Build: This is the week in which the unit was built.
  • Year of Build: This is the year in which the unit was built.

Realtime live display of the information the electronic control unit of the selected vehicle system is currently deriving from its input sensors.

  • Right wheel (pulses): This is the number of the Navigation ECU right wheel sensor pulses per second.
  • Left wheel (pulses): This is the number of the Navigation ECU left wheel sensor pulses per second.
  • Gyro volts: This shows the Navigation ECU gyro voltage input.The normal range for this input is between 1.9 and 3.2 volts.
  • 5V supply: This shows the Navigation ECU 5V supply. The normal range for this input is between 4.75 and 5.25 volts.
  • Battery supply: This is the supply received from the battery and it should be the same as the vehicle battery voltage.
  • Fan state: This shows the state of the fan, STOPPED or RUNNING.
  • CD eject: This shows the state of the Navigation ECU CD eject switch input. OFF - The CD eject switch is not pressed. ON - The CD eject switch is pressed.
  • ECU temperature: This shows the Navigation ECU system temperature. The normal range for this input is between -20°C and +80 °C
  • Direction: This shows the state of the Navigation ECU direction input, which is connected to the vehicle reverse gear switch.
  • GPS status: This shows the Navigation ECU GPS status.

Navigation ECU test: This will initiate the Navigation ECU self test routine. The test will take about 15 seconds. During the self test, the Multi Function Display will return to the menu, the screen will go blank and then return to the menu.
