SM097 - SECURITY CONTROL UNIT - Diagnostic Capabilities (Read Fault Codes)
This function reads the Alarm Trigger events. There are 11 different causes of the alarm activating and this function reads a list of the cause on each occasion for the last 4 occasions, with the oldest cause being shown first and the most recent being the last shown.

Clears the fault codes memory.

SM097 - SECURITY CONTROL UNIT - Diagnostic Capabilities (Settings)
  • Coding Index: This is the coding identification for the programming maps.
  • Diagnostic Index: This is a number that indicates the diagnostic capabilities support level.
  • BUS Index: Identifies the bus communication support level, the vehicle communication buses.
  • Week of Manufacture: Gives the week in which the unit was built.
  • Year of Manufacture: Gives the year in which the unit was built.
  • Part Number: This is the part number for the ECU.
  • Supplier Code: This is a number which defines the supplier using a standard look up list of supplier ECU manufacturer numbers.
  • ECU Software Number: This denotes the coding inside the processor for the hardware.
  • Supplier Hardware Reference Number: This is the hardware version which denotes the processor and circuit board type.
  • Vin Number: Gives the vehicle's VIN number.
  • EKA Code: This is the emergency key access code for the vehicle.
  • Volumetrics Adjustment: This shows the volumetrics adjustment settings.
  • Superlocking: This shows whether superlocking is Double or Single.
  • Interior lights on disarm: This shows if the interior lights are: On or Off on disarm.
  • Mislock Sounder: This activates the mislock sounder.
  • Drivers win delay: This shows the drivers win delay.
  • Auto relocking: This activates or de-activates the automatic relocking.
  • Auto Locking: This activates or de-activates the automatic locking
  • Seat belt warning: This activates the warning for Enabled or Disabled.
  • Volumetric Sensor: This activates the volumetric sensor.
  • Hazard Flash on Inertia: This activates the hazard flash on inertia switch.

SM097 - SECURITY CONTROL UNIT - Diagnostic Capabilities (Inputs)
Constantly updating display in HTML of real time information the electronic control unit of the selected vehicle system is currently deriving from its input sensors and switches. These displays can be saved as HTML snap shots, recorded as an AVI movie or captured as A CSV data file for import into a spread sheet program such as Excel.

  • Ignition: Gives the ignition state either on or off.
  • Immobilisation Code: Code to enable or disable the immobilisation unit. On or Off.
  • Door Key Switch: Shows the state of the door key switch. On or Off
  • Crank Relay: Engages or Disengages the Crank Relay.
  • Engine Speed (RPM): Shows the speed of the engine in RPM's.
  • Inertia Switch: Changes the state of the inertia switch. Normal or Tripped.
  • Drivers Door Switch: Shows the state of the drivers door switch. Open or Closed.
  • Passenger Door Switch: Shows the state of the passengers door switch. Open or Closed.
  • Boot/Tailgate Switch: Shows the state of the Boot/Tailgate switch. Open or Closed.
  • Bonnet Switch: Shows the state of the Bonnet switch. Open or Closed.
  • Driver Window Down: Gives the state of the BCU driver window down relay. Active or Inactive.
  • Driver Window Up: Gives the state of the BCU driver window up relay. Active or Inactive.
  • Drivers sill down: Gives the state of the BCU driver’s sill switch. Active or Inactive.
  • Drivers sill up: Gives the state of the BCU driver’s sill switch. Active or Inactive.
  • Front Wash: Gives the state of the front wash pump switch. On or Off.
  • Rear Wash: Gives the state of the rear wash pump switch. On or Off.
  • Front Wiper: Gives the state of the front wiper. On or Off.
  • Rear Wiper: Gives the state of the rear wiper. On or Off.
  • Front wiper intermittent switch Wiper Intermittent Speed On or Off.

SM097 - SECURITY CONTROL UNIT - Diagnostic Capabilities (Outputs)
Choice of outputs that can be tested. The outputs would be pulsed.

  • Right Indicator: Forcing this output turns the right indicator on.
  • Left Indicator: Forcing this output turns the left indicator on.
  • Hazard Flash: Forcing this output turns the hazard flash on.
  • Alarm LED: Forcing this output turns the alarm LED on.
  • Interior Illumination: Forcing this output actives the interior illumination.
  • Rear Fog Light: Forcing this output turns the rear fog light on.
  • Central Door Locking: Forcing this output activates the cars central locking.
  • Heated Rear Window: Forcing this output turns the rear window heater on.
  • Internal Sounder: Forcing this output activates the internal sounder.
  • Horn Driver: Forcing this output activates the horn.
  • BBUS Alarm: Forcing this output activates the BBUS alarm.
  • Front Wiper: Forcing this output activates the front wiper relay.
  • Rear Wiper: Forcing this output activates the rear wiper relay.
  • Front Wash: Forcing this output activates the front washer relay.
  • Rear Wash: Forcing this output activates the rear washer relay.

SM097 - SCU - Missing Functions
Functions that cannot be performed:
  • Key programming: The Keys and Fobs cannot be programmed by our systems and this function can only be carried out by the Dealer with Testbook/T4.
