This Yellow lead is always used in conjunction with a VCI 1 to provide a connection from the Vehicle Server to the Yellow / Opaque socket most commonly used for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) equipped Discovery 1, Classic Range Rovers and Defenders. This lead is also used for connection to the MEMS 1.6 engine management system found on early Rover vehicles and the 2.0 litre petrol engine Discovery 1, in conjunction with the LD008 converter and with pre 1996 Rover cars fitted with a LUCAS 5AS alarm in conjunction with the LD009 converter.
Please note that the diagnostic sockets in these vehicles do not supply power for the Vehicle Server and so this lead should be used in conjunction with LD006.
This lead also incorporates a pair of standard 4-40 UNC jack screws to allow it to be more securely attached to the VCI 1 which has mating 4-40UNC jack posts.
