The FAULTMATE MSV-2 Vehicle Servers are without any doubt, absolute masterpieces. Just like their predecessor, the FAULTMATE MSV-1, they are flexible enough to accept up to 3 single vehicle licenses or be used as the base for a Multi Vehicle diagnostic system. And of course, these also use all the same tried and trusted software. But do not imagine that they share any other similarity, because they are very much a totally brand new design and they use only the very newest and most amazing embedded PC technology to provide performance and capacity beyond our greatest hopes.
With the NANO version being just less than 10 Centimeters long, 6 Centimeters wide and just over 2 Centimeters thick, it is incredible that we are also able to squeeze the electronics of the Vehicle Communications interface inside it, which used to be external on all our previous systems. And of course for those only wanting to communicate with the later 2005 on CAN BUS based Vehicles and therefore not needing the VCI 1, a version of both the NANO and the EXTREMEvariants of the FAULTMATE MSV-2 vehicle server is also available without it.
The MSV-2 part numbers are:
HW015 - FAULTMATE MSV-2 NANO Vehicle Server without built-in VCI 1.
HW016 - FAULTMATE MSV-2 NANO Vehicle Server with built-in VCI 1.
HW017 - FAULTMATE MSV-2 EXTREME Vehicle Server without built-in VCI 1.
HW018 - FAULTMATE MSV-2 EXTREME Vehicle Server with built-in VCI 1.
Please note that VCI 2 can be used with all Vehicle Servers regardless of if they have a Built in VCI 1 or not, and you can use the regular external VCI 1 on Vehicle servers without a Built in VCI 1, however you must not use an External VCI 1 on Vehicle Servers that already have a VCI 1 Built in.
An additional feature of the FAULTMATE MSV-2 range of Vehicle servers is the use of Blue LED?s which not only illuminate the name plate of the Vehicle Server but are also used in a flicker mode to confirm data flowing in and out of the unit.
